POSITION SUMMARY:
The Grants Management Specialist provides budgetary and administrative support during both the pre-award and post-award phases for Federal, commercial, intramural or privately funded research programs in compliance with federal, state, and industry guidelines and sponsor terms and conditions. The Specialist conducts funding searches and facilitates research award management by drafting/tracking/monitoring study budgets, staging/tracking contract agreements, updating study records in electronic systems such as Sharepoint and the Clinical Trial Management System, drafting Medicare Coverage Analyses (MCA), completing time and effort certification processes and facilitating all required training.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Two (2) years of experience in clinical research industry required; experience in federally sponsored medical research administration preferred
Experience in a healthcare setting supporting Federal awards (preferably research grants sponsored by NIH, NSF, AHRQ or HRSA) strongly preferred

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree preferred
