JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYThis position reports to our Global Head of Talent Management and Diversity and is responsible for leading our Americas Learning and Development team and developing and implementing a comprehensive L&D strategy and programs across the Americas Region including U.S., Canada, and Mexico. It also includes collaborating with our learning colleagues in South America to share programs and best practices as appropriate. This includes partnering with Americas business leadership to understand needs, defining a learning strategy, garnering stakeholder support and empowering and leading the Americas L&D team to implement agreed upon programs within regions



* Act as primary point of contact for Learning and Development across the Americas region (US, Canada, Mexico, South America)

* Partner with Americas Head of Human Resources to provide learning solutions that support the business strategies of the Americas Chief Executive

* Develop a comprehensive Learning and Development Strategy for the Americas region, encompassing one-year and longer-term vision and objectives, aligned with the Americas business strategy

* Lead and manage the Americas Learning team providing ongoing direction, guidance, feedback and growth

* Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of learning programs and their impact on the business using meaningful metrics to improve quality and business impact over time

* Liaise with Learning colleagues in other global regions to share learning programs and leverage best practices

* Develop and cultivate consultative relationships with internal business leaders to ensure learning programs meet the ongoing needs of the business

* Contribute to the design and development of learning solutions

* Manage all aspects of training lifecycle, to include training consultation for key stakeholders, supervision of ongoing training programs, development of new training programs, marketing and communications of programs, budget and resource management, reporting and maintenance of training records, and vendor management

* Work as part of the Global Talent Management team, promote best practices and assist with the implementation of other critical business initiatives

* Oversee the ongoing management and improvement of learning technologies including the Learning Management System, webinar tools and other learning platforms

* Manage and report on the Americas Learning budget


* Bachelor s degree with a minimum of 20 years relevant Learning and HR experience

* Experience in real estate or financial services industries a plus

* Certifications in 360 feedback instruments and behavioral style inventories a plus

* Team leadership skills: proven ability to lead an experienced team, providing guidance and developmental feedback and coaching while stretching and growing direct reports; enabling and positioning team to be strategic in areas of responsibility and influence; empowering and delegating without micromanaging; thinking and planning big picture strategically while getting enough into the details when needed; comfortable leading a geographically dispersed team; proven record of hiring and developing talent

* Learning and Development strategic planning

* Performance consulting with executive level leadership

* Relationship building within a matrix organization

* Experience in building and implementing large scale learning programs for national sales teams, seasoned leaders and new managers, and employees in early stages of their career

* Deep experience in various modes of learning delivery

* Forward thinking in use of social media and millennial-appropriate learning solutions

* Demonstrated insights into finding solutions that drive business results and are cost effective

* Strong vendor and project management skills

* Collaboration and partnership skills with HR colleagues to best serve the business and positively influence business results

* Platform delivery skills and comfort speaking to large groups

* Ability to work in a challenging environment with multiple competing deadlines

* Must be a team player with the ability to work independently and be accountable for results

* Must be highly professional and ethical

* Must have strong skills and proficiency with Microsoft products especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

* Knowledge of HR systems is advantageous, in particular Workday and Cornerstone Learning

* Knowledge of Sharepoint, Web Design/Layout and/or eLearning software (eg Articulate or Captivate)


* Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you

* Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing

* Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand

* Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics and computer displays
