The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology, and the Comprehensive Cancer Center have a full-time faculty opportunity in our Cellular Therapy Program. We are seeking a clinical investigator committed to the development and conduct of cellular therapies, especially in hematologic malignancies. Responsibilities will include clinical research, program development, outpatient clinics, inpatient service and the teaching of clinical trainees. The clinical research portion of this position will focus primarily on developing and implementing novel cellular therapy approaches to the treatment of malignancies. The Cellular Therapy Program is undergoing rapid expansion, both clinically and scientifically, with significant institutional support and facilities, including an operational cellular GMP facility. Robust hematologic malignancy programs, a tradition of excellence and national-level funding in cancer immunotherapy research at The University of Chicago, combined with the strengths of one of the world's top academic institutions provides the background for the growth and development of a career as an academic physician. This new faculty position will capitalize on the opportunities within the Cellular Therapy Program with the goal of increasing our clinical and research capacities.

Applicants are required to have a medical degree, be BC/BE in Hematology or Oncology by start of employment, and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record in translational research and/or conduct of clinical trials related to cellular therapy and interest in CAR T-cell therapy and/or other cellular therapies.

To be considered, those interested must apply online by uploading a cover letter and current CV with bibliography at academiccareers.uchicago.edu/applicants/Central?quickFind=55273. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. A generous package of fringe benefits is included. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
