The Benefits Analyst will administer the 401(k) plan, Leaves of Absences, Workers Comp and other Health and Welfare benefit programs to ensure policy and statutory compliance within established budgets for Maxim. You will assist in benefits design, vendor management, and development and implementation of benefits program strategy for US Benefit Plans.
Administer the 401(k) plan and manage the annual 401(k) audit, non-discrimination testing and 5500 filing
Partner with Benefits broker on benefit program renewals
Monitor regulatory benefits changes to ensure compliance at all times
Help formulate overall benefits strategy; assist with HR policy review and make recommendations
Manage the ongoing administration of all U.S. benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, life, disability, COBRA, and other programs
Ensure programs are administered in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Assist in identifying, planning, and developing methods and procedures to obtain greater benefits administration efficiency.
Participate in the design and implementation of competitive benefit programs
Perform audits of the internal systems, provider records and any data exchange between both parties to ensure there are proper controls / segregation
Bachelor s degree and have at least 3 years of benefits administration experience.
A solid understanding of benefit plan(s) principles, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA and other domestic regulations related to benefits are required.
Demonstrated ability to work well with team members and business colleagues in the delivery of benefit initiatives as assigned.
Ability to assess costs, benefits, and risks of a decision while using sound logic to ultimately make well-informed decisions is also required.
Strong MS Office skills (Strong Excel) required.
Sense of urgency and flawless execution are keys to success in this position.
