Using a range of histological techniques, you will support the buildup and usage of the PDX model platform to evaluate AstraZeneca’s industry-leading drug portfolio. /p p b u Key Responsibilities: /u /b /p ul li Perform histological characterization of PDX tumors across different stages of model development, including: microtomy, routine histological staining, immunohistochemistry staining, slide scanning, and digital image analysis /li li Use automated IHC platforms to evaluate biomarker endpoints in tumors and tissues collected from pre-clinical pharmacology studies. /li li Use advanced technical expertise to develop new biomarker assays, including multiplex IHC assays, in situ hybridization and fluorescence applications. /li li Perform quantitative image analysis to assess biomarker endpoints in tumor and immune cell infiltrates in humanized PDX models. /li li Responsible for all aspects of data generation and analysis, including preparing study summaries, writing SOPs and reports, electronic notebook documentation, /li li Responsible for the implementation and continued maintenance of archiving of all study based materials including raw data, images, FFPE blocks and slides. /li li Contribute to the core lab upkeep, including maintenance of laboratory equipment, and cleaning records. /li li Provide data and supporting documentation for scientific publications and presentations at external meetings. /li /ul ul li Bring in new technologies and approaches to improve or replace existing methods. /li li Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement aggressive work plans and timelines. /li /ul p b u Minimum Requirements: /u /b /p ul li BS/MS with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, including experience in Biopharma.
