OVERVIEW

Exciting opportunity to learn from and contribute to a world class IT Service Centre (ITSC). The ITSM Ops Analyst Intern works with the ITSC teams to provide operational execution on projects and steady-state ongoing activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will provide Tier 2-3 support services and act as an escalation point for the Service Desk and other IT Teams while ensuring that service levels are achieved. This role will be responsible for contributing to IT and Business projects as related to services such as Collaboration, Network, Endpoints, and software. The student will have the opportunity to learn LafargeHolcim business processes as well as industry standard IT processes and how they work together to ensure success superior execution excellence. The role will require interactions with business end users, relationship managers and project managers. This role works on assignments that are complex in nature and require judgment, initiative, and communication to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions. Work is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures. The ITSM Ops Analyst Internship role will be responsible for formal documentation around processes and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Level of education/qualifications normally required:

* Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline with an IT focus

* Valid Driver s License and functioning car

* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs



Specific work experience:

* Technical knowledge of IT

* Understanding of IT services, technology and solutions

* Experience Microsoft and Google products an asset

* Experience in a related industry setting (manufacturing) an asset

* Experience in a customer service environment as asset

* Experience with ITSM/ITIL applications (ServiceNow)



Technical / functional skills:

* Keen interest in existing and emerging hardware and software technologies and IT architectures

* Competency in delivering efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems

* Ability to translate technical knowledge into a more easily consumable format (laymen terms)

* Strong communication skills

* Technical documentation skills

* Analytical and troubleshooting skills
