RUSH UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER S CANCER CENTER IS SEEKING A HIGHLY ORGANIZED AND COLLABORATIVE IS TECHNICAL TRAINER!

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

The IS Technical Trainer is responsible for training clinicians and Rush employees on the use of the Rush Epic EMR. The IS Technical Trainer will work independently and on teams to coordinate training activities and develop curriculum. The IS Technical Trainer will work closely with Rush departments in developing training plans and may provide clinical or business perspective into Clinical Information Services staff decisions about system design and flow. The IS Technical Trainer will participate in Clinical Information Systems implementation activities and software upgrades.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

*

Contribute to the design of course documents based on job, task, user and environmental analysis
*

Develop end-user and facilitator training materials from course design documents
*

Develop content incorporating subject matter expert input into clearly written and structured materials
*

Prioritize critical content and incorporate it in all materials
*

Create participant-centered training materials supporting course objectives
*

Provide facilitation expertise for interactive, activity-driven courses
*

Co-facilitate with content matter instructors to ensure learning and a cohesive program
*

Manage classroom and participants to achieve outcomes
*

Lead activities in a collaborative manner
*

Coach and give feedback to participants
*

Remain flexible and adjust activities and content to meet participant profiles
*

Provide input for modifications to course content and activities
*

Help market training classes
*

Help to create and maintain training environment with realistic scenarios for classroom instruction
*

Applying instructional design methodology to create learner-appropriate materials
*

Demonstrate excellent facilitation, presentation and organization skills
*

Teaching concepts and principles to support a business process or lifecycle



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

*

Minimum 2 years experience
*

Experience working with or teaching Epic EMR modules highly desirable
*

Bachelor s degree or higher in computer science, information systems or health care related field
*

Experience working in a hospital or other health care organization desirable
*

Excellent oral and written communication skills with technical and clinical audiences
*

Excellent analytical skills
*

Exceptional organizational skills to facilitate work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
*

Able to understand customer business problems
*

Able to work with and explain systems utilized by Rush
*

Strong technical command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office suite, departmental applications)
*

Experience with eLearning development software desirable
