ETL DeveloperDescription:

ETL Developer/Architect
Washington, DC
Clearance Requirement:
Public Trust

Responsibilities:- Lead design of high-level conceptual and logical models that facilitate a cross-system/cross functional view of data requirements
- Lead evaluation and recommendations efforts for future data architecture structure and standards.
- Recommend the modeling approach for projects
- Develops Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) Specifications to support data conversion and integrations
- Develop code for Data Warehouse in support of business intelligence projects
- Ensure consistency of Logical and Physical Data Models for all Data Warehouse applications
- Possess a broad understanding of multiple technologies, including, ETL, Reporting, performance tuning for high-end hardware and storage
- Analyze current ODI Mappings and recommend improved structure with reduced number of interfaces and procedures
- Incorporate new facts and dimensions into existing data model from single data source
- Assist in managing ETL processes and performance
- Assist in troubleshooting ETL and/or DB defects and performance issues
- Ability to code as well as perform standard database administration tasks
- Ability to set up maintenance jobs, monitoring, working with developers on performance/tuning queries, tuning overall DBMS if needed and manage storage
- ODI experience, working with packages and being able to trace back to the DB source tables
- Strong experience with database administration activities support
- ETL process understanding and support general database maintenance activities
- Maintain responsibility for global data definitions used in the Data Warehouse
- Integrate data from multiple source systems into Data Warehouse
- Adhere to standards for Data Warehouse, including security, archiving, backup, and recovery
- Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and supervisors
- Identify system and process issues then engage the team in problem solving

Basic Qualifications:- Experience implementing BI solutions
- Experience in Data Warehousing and Data Modeling
- 3 - 4 years consulting
- 3 - 4 years ETL Development
