We are looking for a candidate who can implement, in accordance with mandated requirements and guidelines, interface with 25th AF, 480 ISR WG, 10 IS, 27 IS and remote engineers in order to provide cradle to grave coordination, research, evaluation, design, development, testing, installation, configuration, documentation, maintenance, problem resolution and security compliance of all software and hardware related to MS Windows workstations, servers, and associated applications in operational and testing environments.
Other essential Functions of the Position:Environments includes and are not limited to:
Operating Systems (OS), application software, application software patches and service packs, Domain Servers, MS Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS System Center configuration Management (SCCM), MS SQL server, MS SharePoint, Symantec Antivirus, BMC Remedy, Patriot Excalibur (PEX), NetIQ Directory Administrator (DRA), VMware, RAID storage devices and backup/recovery systems. Provide industry standard Tier 2 and 3 support for all systems, user accounts, groups, and home directory maintenance on workstations and servers in coordination with Base/480 ISR Wing Information System Security Officers (ISSO) and/or as related to submitted electronic trouble tickets. In coordination with 480 ISR Wing ISSOs and Squadron Network Security Managers, prepare systems (i.e. domain servers) for security accreditation Evaluate, recommend, create and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of workstations and servers Manage user and group policies and rights; remedy user and workstation anomalies identified in security, network, and system auditing reviews.24/7 Shift work may be required.Required Skills:DoD 8570 certified (IAT II) and registered in the Defense Workforce Certification programFive (5) years of experience in administering a Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Server or most current networked environment consisting of multiple servers operating a variety of networked applications.Current certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); can be substituted for half the required experience.Five (5) years of experience in administering a Virtual Server networked environment consisting of multiple servers operating a variety of networked applications.A current certification VMware Certified Professional (VCP) can be substituted for half the required experience.Five (5) years of experience in administering SAN Systems (e.g. EMC/DELL, NetApp)Education:High School diploma with a minimum 5 years of experience.Security Clearance:
