JOB DESCRIPTIONReporting to the Director of User Services, the Assistant Director of User Services is responsible for overseeing the frontline technical support provided to UMass Amherst IT's campus-wide customer base for mission critical campus enterprise network services. The Assistant Director of User Services directly supervises the User Services staff and works to ensure professional and reliable delivery of technical support to clients. In addition, works cooperatively with other UMass Amherst IT staff, constituents from across campus, Five Colleges and the University system, in determining appropriate strategies for providing mission critical client support. The Assistant Director of User Services develops an annual budget for services, student personnel, software and equipment for the User Services area.
