* Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Cloud Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals\. This position will be located in Woodlawn, MD\.Put your years of experience as an Cloud Architect into a future of excellence by joining a Northrop Grumman team delivering cutting edge technology solutions to our clients\. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Solutions Management division which focuses on healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, State, and local government clients\.Cloud Architect will lead the development and implementation of cloud\-based initiatives to ensure that systems are scalable, reliable, secure, and supportable, and that they achieve business and IT performance and budgetary objectives\. Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations; prepares technical solutions, project execution plans, basis of estimates for new opportunities and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the current and future projects\. The Information Systems Cloud Architect keeps current on advances in the field of IT, and provides technical and analytical guidance to the project team\. The Information Systems Cloud Architect acts as a customer contact for technology, leads technical review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance\.Assist the agency with the transformation of capital -monetary, intellectual, or political - into technology that furthers SSA objectives and technical goals\. Help position Northrop Grumman to expand contractual work under both the Information Technology Support Services Contract \(ITSSC\) as well as the Network Infrastructure Support Services \(NISS\) vehicle\.Responsibilities for this position include:
- Foster and maintain relationships among technical vendors germane to SAA Cloud Adoption and maturity efforts in order to identify pertinent technological trends and potential disruptors- Manage Northrop Grumman lab space to demonstrate technology to SSA stakeholders to highlight innovative ways to exploit and integrate technology within the current SSA Enterprise Architecture\.- Work onsite with SSA technical teams and leadership to build relationships and find ways to leverage and maximize technical investment recommendations- Responsible for RFP technical architecture proposal responseEstablish strategy and approach to transform customer infrastructure and development environment to a Cloud based solution- Manage Cloud engineering support across customer facing organization\.- Drive requirements for the customer, integrating multiple cloud capabilities and scenarios supporting the service such as service availability, quality, outage management, subscription management, correlation of usage and charges, and cost efficient solution architecture\.- Provide high\-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff, and the customer- Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments, and must possess the ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments\.- Plan and lead major technology assignments, with the potential to supervise others in doing so\.- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non\-technical audiences, as well as interface with the senior customers on a daily basis- Ensure HIPAA violations do not occur within the program by taking a proactive role in the constant vigilance and rigor to emphasize HIPAA compliance throughout all levels of the program \(systems, personnel, and data\)\. To be fully aware of all PHI/PII within their respective program and how it is protected\. Provide continuous training to ensure all staff understand and can execute their role in HIPAA compliance\. HIPAA compliance is to be prioritized over project schedules\. Working with their program security lead, ensure all required safeguards are in place\. Require and support developers use of secure coding practices \(as applicable to program SOW\)\. Be fully conversant \(and ensure staff are trained\) on breach notification procedures for your program\.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems or related disciplines and 14 years experience; Masters degree in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems or related disciplines and 12 years experience; PhD in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems or related disciplines and 9 years experience; or 18 years of experience will satisfy the education and experience requirement\.- Ability to facilitate Cloud & Infrastructure strategy and architecture development as well as detailed planning at the service level- Ability to collaboratively develop architectures and solve complex infrastructure and application problems that efficiently deploy enterprise services- Experience deploying solutions to Private Cloud \(VMware, Hyper\-V, Openstack\) and Public Cloud \(IaaS such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, VMware vCloud Air, and various PaaS and SaaS vendors\)- Ability to obtain a position of public trust\.Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration\.- Ability to collaborate with agency security staff to engineer secure, compliant systems at a high level of detail- Knowledge of identify authorization and authentication technologies- Experience with organizational change management and preparing business case justifications- Technical awareness of FedRAMP, FISMA, and Federal Government Certification and Accreditation \(C&A\) process- Experience working with data center facilities and a high level understanding of networking, power, cooling, and air flow considerations- Understanding and experience in architecting solutions leveraging Software Defined Networking capabilitiesNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
