This Network Engineer will be working on cutting edge server load balancing network design and operations\. This position will support various customers within Health Solutions\.This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and be a part of a first class organization working on complex, leading edge network technology\. Position is responsible for providing engineering expertise for complex server load balancing, geographically load distribution networking\. The network engineer is responsible for engineering, and supporting the load balancing network design, deployment and operations for a large government customer located in Baltimore, Maryland\.Roles and Responsibilities:

- DesignsandplansF5serverloadbalancingsystemsanddetermineimplementationrequirements\.
- Developsimplementationstrategies,plansandprocessesformigrationoftheServerLoadBalancingsystemsfromdatacentertodatacenter\.
- EvaluatespotentialServerLoadBalancingproducts,technicalsolutions,andcapacityrequirementstomeetbusiness needs\.
- Reviewthecustomer'snetworkandpracticeslookingforopportunitiestoenhancenetworkfunctionality,performanceandreliabilitybyutilizingtheserverloadbalancingplatform\.
- Testsnewlyreleasedequipmentsoftwareandoperatingsystemforsecurityvulnerabilitiesandmakechangestomitigatetherisk\.
- ProvidesspecificationsanddetailschematicsforServerLoadBalancingarchitecturefortheenterprise\.
- Developsdocumentation,includingdiagrams,standards,specificationsandoperatingprocedures\.
- Monitorforopportunitiestoenhancethecustomernetwork/systemperformanceorreliability\.
- Monitorforopportunitiestoimprovethecustomerservicedeliverypractices\.
- Performon\-goingmanagementofserverloadbalancingserverinstallationsandupgradeprojectsandmaintaindeploymentschedules\.
- ProvideguidancetoteammembersandprovidestatusmetricstoGovernmentcustomerandNorthropGrummanmanagement\.
- Providethird\-levelsupportandtroubleshootingofnetworkproblems\.Periodicallyprovideafter\-hoursandweekend support\.
- Maintainandextendexpertiseinapplicableareasofnetworkandcomputerhardwareandsoftwaretechnology\.
- Demonstratestrongoralandwrittencommunicationskills,withtheabilitytocommunicatetechnicaltopicstomanagementandnon\-technicalaudiences,aswellasinterfacewiththecustomeronadailybasisBasic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline and14 years of related experience, Master's degree and 12 years of related experience or 18 years of experience will satisfy degree and experience requirements\.
- The candidate can fill the certification requirements in one of two ways:

- 1\) The candidate must have both an active Application Switching certification AND an active Network Certification\.OR
- 2\) The candidate must have an active Application Switching certification OR an active Network Certification and show evidence that the other certification is in process\.NOTE:
The Active Application Switching Certification may be met via holding a certification as an F5 Technology Specialist, F5 Certified BIP\-IP Administrator, Solution Expert Level Certification or equivalent level of server load balancing Certification from Alteon or Nortel\.The Network Certificate must be met with a CiscoCCNAorCCNPCertification\.
- Understandingofnetworkconnectivityforphysicalandvirtualizedservers
- Experienceinstallingandconfiguringnetworkequipmentsuchasrouters,switches,firewalls,etc\.
- IntermediateunderstandingofthecommunicationnetworkusingTCP/IPprotocol\.
- Mustbeabletoobtainand maintainaPositionofTrustdesignation
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent ResidentPreferred Qualifications:

- VMWareDataCenterVirtualizationorEndUserComputingexamination
- Candidates that hold both the Application Switching AND Network certifications
- PriorhandsonexperiencewithCisconetworks
- KnowledgeofnetworkingprotocolssuchDomainNameServer\(DNS\),SimpleNetworkManagementProtocol\(SNMP\)
