To deliver this ambitious target, we are embarking on a transformation of our capabilityWith the growth of Digital investment and the Marketing Effectiveness programme, there is a key requirement to source the right data to support marketing and consumer insights, and put the right structure and governance around it.The role of the Data & Information Governance team is to increase awareness of the quality of data within Diageo and to actively improve it to increase business performance.This is achieved through+ Thoroughly applying the right rigour around data design and architecture to ensure that we build in one version of the truth from the outset+ Setting and maintaining the standards around data and information+ Putting in place the right data services to sustain the quality and completeness of data on an ongoing basisThe role of the Marketing Data Manager is to set the strategy and to create a robust and sustainable data environment for marketing, through creating an effective strategy and delivery capability.

* + Define the data strategy for data domain, and delivery plans+ Ensure the required environment exists to support D&IG objectives, e.g. policies, standards, capability.+ Effectively manage their team to ensure delivery domain and D&IG objectives+ Create and sustain effective relationships to deliver domain and D&IG objectives, including building in-market data capability+ Deliver ongoing improvement in master data maintenance processes and quality, with clear and demonstrable alignment to business outcomes

* Qualifications and experience required
*
* + Graduate, preferably with minimum of 10 years Data experience either within Diageo or another consumer goods company (or equivalent in consultancy).+ Deep understanding of marketing data, potentially with an agency background, including external unstructured data.+ Expert in data modelling techniques using accepted methods.+ Deep understanding of data management disciplines and their business benefits+ Data design experience working within a global function, including at least one major project as lead data designer+ Able to provide strong, visible leadership for data governance to geographically diverse virtual teams+ Able to build relationships with senior business management to advance the global data agenda - need strong communication and influencing skills .
