Missile Defense and Protective Systems \(MDPS\) serves as Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' focal point for all activities associated with missile defense, including Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications \(C2BMC\), simulation & modeling, systems engineering, and target discrimination\.Successful candidate must possess the ability to technically diagnose, mitigate/troubleshoot issues, and contribute to an on\-site team providing 24x7 support to the C2BMC application suites that are globally dispersed in different time zones\. Candidate must have strong background in Server System Administration and troubleshooting analysis in some or all of the following platforms:
Linux, UNIX, Windows servers, Windows clients\. Candidate will lead or participate in system/networking troubleshooting, problem resolution and maintenance activities, to include on\-site and/or telephonic maintenance support\. Furthermore, candidate will serve as C2BMC application subject matter experts providing Level 2 troubleshooting, break fix and preventative maintenance actions, which involved interaction with remote C2BMC sites and different levels of leadership within the C2BMC Command Center\. Candidate must be a self\-starting problem solver, capable of planning, coordinating, directing and controlling their individual projects, and possess the capability to work with limited supervision and lead trouble shooting to resolution\. Performs other related duties and assignments as required\._C2BMCMSTR_Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline \(or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of the degree\), with 5 years of professional experience; Candidate must meet minimum requirements of DOD 8570 IAT II certification \(Security , etc\)\. Secret clearance required\.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with operations and maintenance of large\-scale computer and communications systems\. Highly skilled in System Administration and Application to ensure uptime, performance, resources and security of the system is sustained and anomalies are fixed efficiently\. Sound knowledge and practical experience to direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures \(TTPs\) and/or Operating Instructions \(OIs\) to effectively administer, operate and manage services under C2BMC operational control\. Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint and/or Excel\. Knowledge of modern computer systems, client/server, LAN/WAN and Network concepts, modern network management and monitoring concepts\. Knowledge and proficiency in technical writing\.Position is normally Mon \- Fri:
