* Responsible for all facets of database management to include monitoring, software installation &configuration, upgrading, backup & recovery, performance tuning, database access & security,patching, and capacity audits with the primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server databases andsecondary on Oracle databases\. This includes a requirement to manage DISA STIGs and policies fordatabases\. Documentation of standard database policies and operating procedures is alsonecessary\. After\-hours maintenance and on\-call support is occasionally needed\.ERAPIAMDERAPJRDCBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an IT related discipline thatincludes database management systems\.Additional years of experience in lieu of degree is acceptable\.- Hands\-on experience with:
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later version, SQLServer Management Studio, database monitoring, and database backup & recovery\.- Understand Microsoft SQL Server role and user level object permissions\.- Familiarity with T\-SQL, MS\-DOS batch scripting, and concepts ofreferential integrity\.- Candidates must have completed and be enrolled in Continuing Education\(CE\)with aSecurity certification or have an \(ISC\)2CISSP certification\.- Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance\.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server clusters and Microsoft database performance tuning\.-Knowledge of Oracle dictionary, internals, PL/SQL, SQL\
* Plus, RMAN,Database Control, and SQL Developer\.- Familiarity with DISA security including IAVA compliance and Security TechnicalImplementation Guides \(STIGs\) for databases\.- Experience in O&M activities as a Database Administrator, and with severalof the following:
Foglight for monitoring,TOAD, MS Windows Server2008/2012,Virtualization \(VMWare\), database application development,and use of BMC Remedy Incident & Change modules\.- ITIL v3 Foundations certification is a plus\.Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
