From creating a citywide wireless network for our first responders, to protecting our nation from cyber threats, to building software\-defined radios that change how our military communicates, our Mission Systems team helps life run smoothly & safely\.Northrop Grumman is seeking 30 engineers for an internship opportunity\.The qualified applicants will become part of Northrop Grumman's Cyber and Intelligence Mission Solutions Division located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland\. All of our interns will work in a dynamic people\-focused environment where they will interact with users, customers and other developers\. This is a technically challenging, 10 week internship program, where you will learn ready world programing skills that can be applied to future coursework\.Roles and Responsibilities- Solve complex technical issues with limited supervision- Develop complex software using Java and/or C , as well as scripting languages including Perl, Ruby, Python and/or SHELL- Develop software on diverse platforms including Unix, Linux and Windows based operating systems- Leverage configuration management tools, database applications and related software development tools

* Basic Qualifications:

* A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria\. The candidate must:
+ Be a student who is enrolled full\-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university+ Be majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field+ Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3\.25/4\.00 or higher \(unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile\)+ Be able to perform software engineering duties using one or more of the following languages:
Java, C, C , JavaScript \(AngularJS, jQuery, Node\.js\), Python, Html 5, Bash, Assembly Language+ Be available to work full\-time \(40 hours per week\) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2017+ Be able to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance \(U\.S\. citizenship is a pre\-requisite\)Preferred Qualifications+ Previous internship/co\-op experience in a software development environment+ Experience using software engineering tools/technologies, e\.g\., Object\-oriented design principles, including design patterns; Eclipse IDE, Git/Gerrit, Jira/Trac/RedMine, Spring, Junit; deployment tools \(eg, ant, maven, Karaf\)+ Experience working with databases, e\.g\., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Accumulo, Couchbase, Hbase, ElasticSearch, Cassandra+ Experience in networking protocols and in using related cyber technologies \(Wireshark, tcpdump\)+ Experience working in data science, machine learning, data mining, and/or using big data technologies \(eg, Hadoop/MapReduce, Apache Spark\)+ Involvement in engineering clubs, hack\-a\-thons, STEM outreach, personal software development projects, and other extracurricular activities \(personal/community\)+ Strong communication skills with the ability to write technical white papers, technical reports, and software documentation+ Ability to create PowerPoint presentations and brief customers and executive leadership, effectively communicate technically to non\-technical individuals\.+ Self\-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment+ Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3\.70/4\.00 or higherMSURRMSURREJoin our Talent Community:
