* This position is responsible for creating and executing a best in class global IT category management function for goods and services \(hardware, software, telecommunication, software as a service\) across the Northrop Grumman Enterprise\. It is expected that the category leader understand the company's \(sector and business unit\) supply chain strategies and objectives and provide consultative advice to drive performance and guide business engagements\.Essential Duties:
+ Remain current with new technologies and market trends through relationships with strategic suppliers and market experts+ Identify, create and develop a long term global strategy for each sourcing category\. Develop and lead cross functional teams to execute strategy and drive performance+ Leverage current and future business requirements, market intelligence, and historical spend to develop innovative category strategies that drive cost reduction, enterprise consistency, and business value+ Support, influence and partner with various internal organizations \(Business Development, Law Department, IT Solutions,+ Mission Assurance / Quality, Human Resources, Information Security, and Business Management\) to identify and meet mutual business goals and demand requirements+ Engage / collaborate with functional / divisional stakeholders and other subject matter experts to ensure sourcing strategy is aligned to and capitalizes on supplier's technology / product roadmaps to drive innovation and support the mission, strategy and sector objectives+ Support the corporation's global supplier diversity programOrganization Support & Development+ Provide managerial assistance in the areas of staff development, goal setting, prioritizing, employee performance assessments and corrective actions, training development and mentoring+ Pricing & Cost+ Monitor the market to ensure best\-in\-class pricing, delivery and service+ Work with functional organizations \(engineering, Operations, Category Managers, Sourcing, Logistics and the supply base\) to develop target costs and low cost alternatives\. Understand all of the components of related costs to identify opportunities\. Conduct regular pricing benchmarksSupply Base Development & Management+ Establish long term, cost competitive, global and strategic supplier agreements \(NDAs, teaming agreements, and subcontract agreements\) to support the corporation+ Develop and implement commodity strategies to establish and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure successful implementation and change management support as well as provide for alternate sources+ Compliance+ Maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as any internal policies \(e\.g\. code of ethics\) or procedures to ensure that the behavior exhibited by the organization is of the highest level of integrity, honesty, and transparencyMetrics+ Coordinate compilation and preparation of reports, forecasting and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions+ Track forecasted vs actual savings for assigned Categories and be responsible for communicating performance against these measures and their potential budgetary impactKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities+ Category Managers have an executive presence and have had previous experience working in a matrixed environment with excellent influencing and communication skills \(influential and highly collaborative\)+ Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of supplier performance per service level agreement \(SLA\) as required+ Possess excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

* Basic Qualifications:

* + Bachelor's degree in related field plus fifteen \(15\) years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement and / or Sourcing
