* Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector seeks a System/Software Quality Analyst III to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals\. This position will be located in McLean, VA\.Put your years of knowledge into a future of excellence\. The qualified applicant will join our Northrop Grumman's AWIPS Team\. AWIPS is a system of systems for processing, display, and telecommunications used by the National Weather Services \(NWS\)\. AWIPS ingests and integrates meteorological, hydrological, satellite, radar data, and it processes and distributes the data to Weather Forecast Offices, River Forecast Centers, and National Centers\. Weather forecasters use AWIPS to make weather, water, and climate predictions and to issue advisories, watches, and warnings\.AWIPS is used operationally by NWS forecasters and hydrologists 24 hours a day, 365 days a year\.Responsibilities include:
1\) Prepare, deliver , and maintain a Quality Assurance Plan \(QAP\) of each AWIPS function and defined work product for service level agreements \(SLAs\) for review and acceptance2\) Monitor the quality of the products and services being delivered to NOAA/NWS3\) Provide Mission and Quality Assurance leadership throughout the development, review, delivery, and maintenance cycles for program Contract Data Requirements List \(CDRL\) deliverables, internal plans, and process artifacts4\) Supports the AWIPS team in process tailoring, CDRL reviews, and audit activities, including program gate reviews5\) Evaluate metrics for each of the service level agreements \(SLAs\) established with the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans \(QASP\)6\) Collects, stores, and maintains quality records, while complying with all Northrop Grumman quality assurance policies and procedures7\) Proactively oversee the Risk and Opportunity Management \(RAOM\) activities for the program8\) Support and implement risk\-based process audits with open and timely communication of risk and mitigation plans9\) Supports closure of Corrective and Preventive Action System \(CPAS\) and Quality Evaluation Report \(QER\) records and associated actions10\) Review SDLC documentation to ensure technical accuracy, readability, and completeness\. Proposes changes to satisfy documentation requirements, project objectives, and proposes updates to documentation to satisfy those requirements11\) Ensures requirements traceability throughout all SDLC documentation including test cases and test results\. Responsible for ensuring requirements completely identify the functionality for the system and that all requirements have successfully been tested and have passed\.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with minimum of 6 years of Quality Assurance experience; 4 years of experince with Masters- Knowledge of industry specific quality standards and regulations, i\.e\. AS9100, ISO9001, AS5553, AS9120, CMMI- Attention to detail coupled with the ability to quickly learn, assess, and evaluate new processes/procedures- Significant experience supporting the Systems Development Life Cycle \(SDLC\), includingquality management practives amnd tools for hardware, software engineering development and integration programs- Experience supporting the development of key metrics and subsequently presenting meaningful data for leadership or project review, and ability to generate and analyze quantitative data- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills- Work well as both an individual contributor and as part of an integrated team where adherence to project conventions are highly valued- Possess the positive attitude and team spirit needed to succeed in a collaborative environment- Possess strong work ethic- U\.S\. citizenship and ability to pass a Government background check is requiredPreferred Qualifications:
