So come join us and experience the value of performance\.Northrop Grumman Missions Systems is seeking a Principal Network Engineerto assist one of our prime contracts in support of all aspects of the Customer's information technology global infrastructure to include planning, development, operations, and sustainment\. AXISS is transforming and modernizing the Customer's communication infrastructure with focused technology solutions including legacy and IP\-based networks, secure boundary, secure access using virtual private network \(VPN\), Information Security \(INFOSEC\), Agile development, and Infrastructure management/monitoring\.The team is looking for a Principal Network Engineer to configure, test and install LAN, CAN, and WAN equipment/world\-wide \(Non hostile areas only\)\. Selectee will be responsible for creating network diagrams and documentation, perform site surveys, create parts list, configure and test equipment, coordinate outages and install/activate circuits and network equipment\. The ideal candidate will be self\- motivated and work with limited supervision and able to interact with and present to a wide range of technical staff and management\. The Education/Experience qualificationsfor a Network Engineer Level 5 are:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math and 12 years of related experience or Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math and 10 years of related experience\.Candidate must possess a TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph and meet the requirements for DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliance \(Security \)\.In addition, the selected candidate must have experience in the following:
+ Background with a variety of IT systems, networks, hardware and software+ Experience maintaining complex IT infrastructures+ Candidate must be able to work with other administrators at both the enterprise and local level+ The ability to interact with and present to a wide range of technical staff and management\.+ Required to travel 10% of the time to non\-hostile CONUS and/or OCONUS locations+ Cisco network equipment+ Foundry network equipment+ KG175 encryptors\.+ Copper \(Cat 5E and 6\) cable and be able to terminate them\.+ MM and SM fiber optics, and the various types of connectors\.+ MS VisioPreferred Qualifications:
