Cyber System Engineer, specializing in Virtualization, to be a part of a brand new program with the opportunity to develop technical solutions in the area of Cryptographic Transformation, Cyber Security, Advanced Cyber Solutions, and Information Modernization to ensure safe delivery of critical information to the right people\. The selected candidate will be responsible for working with other virtualization team members in systems design, architecture and operations\.As one of the most senior systems experts on the team, you will interface directly with users and customers providing foresight and technical guidance aimed at satisfying mission needs\. As a key contributor to the success of the program, you will collaborate with software and systems engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of complex systems\. You will provide technical leadership to the team and work complex technical tasks under general guidance from the team lead\. As a Principal System Engineer on this program, you will be asked to mentor and facilitate the development of junior engineers who join\. Additionally, you will interact with senior company management and customers, responsible for generating white papers and innovative solutions for program growth and will be responsible to convey new techniques and technologies to the analytic workforce\.The selected candidate will ensure that all physical, virtual, and logical network, and environmental \(OS and VM\) problems \(especially advanced problems\) get resolved in a timely manner\. In a highly virtualized VMWare and vCloud Director environment, this candidate will assist a multitude of internal customers with virtual machine and network setup and migrations\. The selected candidate will be responsible for working on multiple concurrent efforts and tasks in a fast paced environment\. This candidate's ultimate responsibility is to uphold the technical integrity of worked performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineer area of responsibility, in addition to communicating with other program personnel, Customer overseers, and senior executives\.Basic Qualifications:
The selected candidate must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance; as well as:
+ Fourteen \(14\) years experience as a Systems Engineer AND a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required\. Five \(5\) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree+ The selected candidate must have at least five \(5\) years of recent experience in at least five \(5\) of the following:
+ Must be able to design and document system processes, build procedures and system infrastructure\.+ Strong experience in networking with a concentration in subnetting with use of VLAN\\PVLAN infrastructure\.+ Microsoft Server 2008, and\\or 2012 system administration+ VMware ESXi Server 5 or above, including vCenter, vSphere, and vCloud Director+ MS SQL / Databases clustering, administration, integration, and deployments+ MS Windows Server 2008\\2012 Active Directory+ Linux Administration+ Microsoft SCCM, SCOM configuration\\administration+ Current experience with SAN\\NAS+ Current experience with Hardware installation and configuration+ Scripting in Powershell and\\or PowerCLI+ Setup and administration of CISCO, McAfee Enterprise \(or similar\) Firewalls and networking equipment \(firewalls\\switches\\SAN\)\.+ Responding to provide tier 3 support on any stakeholder issues within the custom applications, including troubleshooting, and testing\.Candidate must have experience in the following areas:
+ Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of all components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non\-technical assessment and management as well as end\-to\-end flow analysis\.+ Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture\(s\) - Department of Defense Architecture Framework \(DoDAF\), Service\-oriented Architecture \(SOA\), etc\.+ Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components\.+ Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board \(CCB\) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross\-discipline coordination\.Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations+ Participate in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents+ Participate in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycleAllocate real\-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystem components+ Derive from the system requirements an understanding of stakeholder needs, functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness+ Derive lower\-level requirements from higher\-level allocated requirements that describe in detail the functions that a system component must fulfill, and ensure these requirements are complete, correct, unique, unambiguous, realizable, and verifiable+ Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions+ Participate in establishing and gaining approval of the definition of a system or component under development \(requirements, designs, interfaces, test procedures, etc\.\) that provides a common reference point for hardware and software developers+ Define the methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which the systems, subsystems and work products are verified against their requirements in a written plan+ Develop system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis+.
