* Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a deployed Avionics Technician for our OCONUS location\. The candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance withspecific customer specifications and implementations\.- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technicalsolution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customerrepresentatives for coordinative product solution\.- Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications\.- Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives\.- Acts as local onsiterepresentative to customers organization\.- Installs and troubleshoots avionics systems wiring in aircraft in accordance with technical specifications, engineeringinstructions, and FAA regulations- Fabricates, installs and tests installation, routing, clamping and wiring harnesses- Reads wiring diagrams and blueprints- Advanced knowledge in specialized functions- Wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and theirpractical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered- Operate & maintain avionics systems on 4 x BACN\-equipped E\-11A deployed aircraft- Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in avionics systems, radar, integrated test systemsbuilt\-in\-test \(BIT\), multiplexed data bus systems, recording systems, video display systems, flight instrumental, missioncomputer systems, inertial navigation systems \(INS\), primary & secondary flight controls, automatic flight control, engineinstrumentation, fuel management systems, central air data systems, communication & navigation systems & aircraftindicating systems- Remove, install, check, & repair avionics systems/line replaceable units \(LRUs\)- Diagnose malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, integrated test systems & other testequipment- Remove, replace & repairs faulty system wiring, electrical connectors, antennas, transmission lines & multi\-conductorcables- Modify avionics systems according to technical publications- Update operational logs, inspection records, aircraft forms & automated maintenance systems- Perform & supervise alignment, calibration & boresight of avionics systems- Upload ground maintenance & operational software- Perform off\-equipment maintenance on selected avionics LRUs & maintains peculiar support equipment- Inspect & verify operational status & configuration of avionics systems & software- Record & ensure validity of entries into maintenance data collection & inspection systems- Interpret & recommend corrective action to inspection findings- Execute proper documentation of actions performed in aircraft forms \(FAA or Air Force Form 781 series\)- Assist other functional team members with any associated aircraft maintenance actions to ensure mission successTSBACNBasic Qualifications:
\- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License\- Ability to quickly obtain US Passport and Afghan Visa\- Current DoD SECRET Clearance with at least one year remaining before expiring, or the ability to quickly obtain anInterim SECRET Clearance\- Flight deck integrated avionics package experience\- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3 years or more experience\- Must obtain general medical physical to include HIV and TB\-Tine check prior to deploymentPreferred Qualifications:
Altimeter & Transponder repairman certificate\- RVSM qualified\- Honeywell Primus 2000 or Rockwell Collins Avionics experience\- 5 years Avionics experience\- Bombardier BD\-700 Global Express, or USAF E\-11A experience\- Special Mission aircraft experience\- DoD aircraft maintenance experienceNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
