Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Communications Systems Engineer in support of a worldwide enterprise communications program\. This position will be located in Stuttgart, Germany with responsibility for the installation, integration, operation and maintenance of the Defense Intelligence VSAT Network's Atlantic Hub and will:
+ Monitor installation, interconnection, maintenance and operation of associated 8\.1 meter satellite antenna systems+ Develop requirements and engineer solutions to support DIA satellite network communications for missions in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia as well as provide engineering and management support for all satellite\-based programs supporting DIA and other authorized customers+ Research and evaluate new products and technologies to determine baseline performance, cost effectiveness, and suitability+ Develop frequency plans and equipment configurations for operation over commercial satellites+ Engineer network data connectivity from the hub facility and secure enclaves to remote terminals, configuring networking and encryption devices to include routers, switches and firewalls+ Provide pre\- and post\- installation engineering support, manage network authentication and configuration through the DIVN Network Management System \(NMS\) and perform over\-the\-air spoke terminal and network configuration updates and changes+ Manage usage and allocate satellite bandwidth in accordance with applicable user agreements and DIA planning and policy+ Install, operate, maintain and update as necessary the BGAN Strategic Entry Points \(SEP\), network connections, and Cisco ASA firewalls+ Provide configuration and troubleshooting support for GRRIP and Voyager remote kits and users+ Respond to outages as required, troubleshooting data and satellite networks, DAMA controllers, network interfaces, network management systems, routers and switches and communication components+ Integrate, test, deploy, install, maintain and repair remote terminals in austere and hazardous environments+ Monitor the assigned satellite spectrum for interference and unauthorized transmissions, working with satellite operators and service providers to engineer real\-time mitigation and support incident detection and resolution+ Develop training plans and provide training to authorized personnel+ Provides managerial oversight of DIVN\-Atlantic operations+ Produce reports and provide briefings to internal and external agencies+ Provide comprehensive logistic support to include shipping tracking and receiving equipment and spares, and the deployment and recovery of remote terminals and systems+ Develop requirements and coordinate storage, maintaining a current inventory of equipment location, warranty, and licensing information and ensuring decision makers have all data necessary for effective life\-cycle managementThis position may be designated mission essential\.Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelors in Science plus 5 years' relevant experience or Associates Degree plus 7 years' experience+ Experience with deployable satellite installations, cabling, troubleshooting, maintenance, and preventative maintenance inspections+ Experience with VSAT certification and decertification+ Experience maintaining and loading cryptographic keys+ US citizenship with Top Secret SCI security clearance+ Eligibility for US\-Germany and NATO Status of Forces Agreements+ Ability to work independently+ Ability to travel to high\-risk areas if requiredPreferred Qualifications:
