Harris Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a research and development environment at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, located in Washington, DC, just off of 295 near the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Electronic Attack Systems Performance Section (Code 5772) is looking for a candidate to support HLA structure in a DoD Modeling and Simulation (M&S) project. The Section's focus is to develop an Electronic Warfare (EW) simulation in an ocean environment to support design, development and testing of EW systems, and deployment tactics. High-fidelity anti-ship missile (ASM) models are employed to study the effects of both onboard and offboard EA techniques in stand-alone or distributed simulation environments.Responsibilities include:
- Run Time Infrastructure (RTI) programming - Generate data, prepare graphs, analyze and evaluate performance between developed simulation models and data acquisition of characterization tests - Develop project models such as 3D antenna pattern reconstruction, signal modulation and demodulation scheme construction - Writing script files in PYTHON and MATLAB to interface digital CRUISE_Missles program with SIMDIS programQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Math, Engineering and 10+ years of relevant Electronic Attack and RF based technologies - Object oriented programming with C, C++, VHDL - Numerical computation tools such as Matlab - Development in Windows and Linux environments - Active Secret DoD clearancePreferred Additional Skills:
- Understanding of Monopulse Radar Systems, Phase Array Radar Systems, RF Transmitter and Receiver theoriesSecurity Clearance:
