* Position Summary:

* The Program Director is responsible for partnering with business and IT management to maximize return on the investment within their IT project portfolios for assigned business unit\(s\)\. This position oversees a vertical team of Project Managers that aligns IT delivery with business priorities, provides strategic reporting \(including financial reporting\) to executive leadership, and ensures value realization through proper governance processes\.*
* Key Responsibilities include:

* MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

*
* + Leads multi\-disciplinary team of 100\+ people, 10\+ work streams \(project managers, subject matter experts, application builders, trainers, testers, etc\.\) within assigned business unit\(s\) \(FTE and Consultants\) + Partners with business and IT executive leadership to ensure that IT delivery aligns with business strategic objectives and priorities + Manages up to a $25M operational department budget + Oversees a project portfolio with projects ranging in size from $50\-$100M \(cash outlay\) + Responsible for annual planning and quarterly review of project budgets + Drives risk management and mitigation through strict governance processes and procedures + Monitors performance of project managers to ensure their projects stay aligned with the approved business case \(financial objectives\), design, and the committed timeline + Ensures adherence to project schedules; aggressively monitors project budgets; and reallocates resources to avoid budget or schedule variances + Provides financial metrics, value realization, and other reports for executive leadership, business stakeholders, and IT team + Partners with assigned vendors to build effective relationships and collaborative team environments; manage vendor contract SLAs to achieve established goals + Continually evaluates methods of undertaking and completing projects more efficiently with new programming techniques,different technology platforms, more technically\-trained personnel + Ensures effective client\-users' commitment and concurrence with project goals; effectively involves client\-users in the design, development, and implementation of their systems + Ensures that project managers follow sound technical guidelines in the development of functional requirements and criteria for evaluating potential solutions +

* Monitors the changing technical environment to stay on trend and ahead of market shifts

* TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

*
* + Well\-rounded, highly\-refined program manager with 10\+ years at a top management consultancy or a similar role in a large, well\-regarded, highly\-disciplined company + At least 10 years of experience managing complex projects within the healthcare industry + Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project and mastery of managing projects with over 10,000 line items + Experience managing projects with core teams of at least 100 professionals + Expertise in managing complex integrated work plans, with hundreds of potential resource dependencies and collisions + Expert knowledge of all current trends in software delivery methodologies \(Agile/SCRUM/Waterfall\); success in transforming teams to embrace new trends and technologies + 5\+ years managing individual and roll\-up project budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies for IT and related projects +

* Expert in the business principles, rules, and regulations affecting the information systems for assigned business units

* Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
