Clinical Content Analyst \- Epic
* Position Summary:

* Responsible for coordinating and executing the review of clinical content with Subject Matter Experts as relating to Epic\. Analyzes clinical needs & processes to develop standardized documentation, ordering, and alert tools\. Will work with other analysts and teams to organize, prepare, and present detailed clinical content \(e\.g\. order sets, treatment plans, documentation templates, care plans...\) to clinicians for review, feedback, and approval\. Completes assigned team tasks as documented in the work plan, and reports status of task completion to assigned Team Lead\. Provides timely alerts about endangered milestones and deliverables\.*
* Responsibilities:

* + Organizes, Schedules, and Leads Multidisciplinary SME Groups\. + Organizes, Participates In and Moderates the Development, Standardization, Coordination, Maintenance and Tracking of Clinical Content\. + Maintains thorough records of workgroup decisions, issues, and risks\. + Collaborates with various implementation, design, and build teams throughout the deployment lifecycle\. + Drives groups for consensus and manages deliverables according to schedule\. + Organizes, prepares, and presents content in a meaningful way to stakeholders and reviewers\. + Reviews departmental or industry standards and requirements\. + Compares and presents differences between current state content and that planned with Epic\. + Provides status reports to management when required\. + Attends meetings as required, and participates on committees as directed\. + Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solutions\. + Acts as user liaison between clinical or business departments and Information Systems; providing domain expertise and experience for multiple interacting healthcare departments\. + Works closely with operational stakeholders\. + Maintains a positive image when dealing with department personnel and other City of Hope employees\.*
* Skills and Experience:

* + Previous experience working with EMR \(Epic Experience is a plus\) + Prior EMR Configuration Experience + High Level to Expert User of Excel + Familiar with MS Project / Visio / SharePoint + Ability to clearly organize and present information for review\. + Familiarity with medical record components and general clinical toolsets\. + Epic implementation experience preferred\. + Possesses an understanding of computer system capabilities to meet electronic documentation needs\. + Understands strategies, determines business needs, and able to plan for Epic requirements\. + Ability to work effectively in a high\-paced environment\. + Ability to apply knowledge of workflows to implement a system that meets business needs\. + Ability to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers\. + Ability to identify problem situations and consider all perspectives in terms of scope and consequences\. + Ability to work effectively with other individuals and teams\. + Ability to work independently, handle significant responsibility, and prioritize multiple assignments\. + Ability to attend to detail required\.*

* Required Qualifications:

* + Bachelor's Degree; Experience may substitute for minimum education requirement + 3\+ years of relevant experience in adult education or instructional design, including experience in planning and developing learning objectives and course materials\. + Certification in an Epic application required for consideration\.*
* Preferred Education & Experience:

* + Bachelor's Degree + Experience may substitute for minimum education requirement + Minimum Experience:
3\+ years healthcare experience in a technical or clinical + Clinical Education:
RN, LPN, PT, OT, MA\.*
* Preferred Skills/Abilities:

* + 3\+ years of Healthcare Information Technology experience + Cancer center experience + Previous implementation or upgrade experience + Previous experience or exposure to clinical content \(order sets, flowsheets, care plans, etc\) + Previous medical records experience + Healthcare experience in other acute care settings preferred as well\.
