The Boart Longyear accounting department is seeking an intern to assist in the Accounts Payable area of the Salt Lake City Shared Service Center. This position will report to the Shared Services Accounts Payable Manager. This position will allow the student to gain meaningful professional experience. The workload is flexible and can be as little as 25 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week, depending on the student's preference/availability. In addition to the areas mentioned below, this role will also assist on a project to standardize the accounting across multiple entities and countries. Minimum Qualifications: Some completed college accounting courses preferred, no degree required. Knowledge of basic accounting principles; working toward accounting or finance degree a strong plus Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail Ability to solve problems timely Desire to learn new skills Ability to take initiative with little direction Microsoft Office experience, specifically Microsoft Excel Oracle EBS experience a plus Additional Qualifications/skills: General ledger reconciliations Journal Entries and Accruals Transaction Analysis Month End Processes General data entry support Other duties as needed Established in 1890, Boart Longyear is the world's leading provider of drilling services, drilling equipment and performance tooling for mining and drilling companies.
