JOB DESCRIPTIONa.i. solutions is looking for a highly-motivated Junior Information Security Engineer to support the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Washington, DC. This position will focus primarily on elevated privilege management and process development. This individual should have familiarity troubleshooting multiple operations systems and knowledge of privilege management products such as RES and CyberArk. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission of always meeting customer requirements and usually exceeding their expectations.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
Utilize a risk-based approach to review and evaluate Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software products and IT administration requests against established IT Security baselines for operating systems and web browsers
Communicate any potential impacts and/or risks to the IT environment to decision-makers with recommendations for approval or denial of requests
Participate in a broad range of security operations and analysis tasks in support of a comprehensive security program that is designed to support the full National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework
Manage and support with direction, the day-to-day operations of a newly created elevated privilege program
Track, document, and communicate with team members to facilitate multiple customer requests for elevated privilege
Maintain and keep current a comprehensive list of applications and operations for the environment that are either approved, denied, or approved with conditions
Document and update, as needed, program processes and workflows to align with IT Security best practices and support customer needs
Support the NASA Headquarters transition to an Information Security Continuous Monitoring program via risk-based approach to IT Security
Attend NASA-related meetings and working groups as required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in information technology or related technical field
Experience with the operations of the major web browsers in the marketplace specifically, IE/Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome
Experience with IT Security products that track inventory and patch/vulnerability management such as Dell KACE, IBM Big Fix, etc
