SCHEDULE: 0.8 (32 HOURS PER WEEK) SHIFT: NIGHTS WITH ROTATING WEEKENDS.
* $10,000 sign on bonus for Rn's with at least two years of acute care experience.
* $5,000 sign on bonus for Rn's with less than two years of acute care experience.

POSITION SUMMARY: Renders professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit; supports medical care as directed by a physician; functions in accordance with hospital policies and procedures; meets competency standards for orientation and at least annually thereafter. Meets responsibilities and performance standards of a RN II. Functions as a clinically competent nurse who provides safe and effective nursing care in a particular area of practice. An RN II functions as an experienced clinically competent nurse who provides safe and effective nursing care and may work as a clinical preceptor in providing mentorship and guidance to new employees. Participates in patient/family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Participates in organizational and unit based quality improvement activities.
Minimum: CA RN, BCLS, *ACLS, * NRP and *AWHONN INTERMEDIATE External Fetal Monitoring *(may complete within 90 day probation period)
Minimum: 1 to 2 years of acute care nursing in a surgical setting.
Preferred: Experience in nursing with emphasis on Labor & Delivery
Minimum: High School Graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum: Ability to use critical thinking skills and prioritize aspects of patient care; possess good interpersonal and intrapersonal communication skills. Ability to calculate medication dosages and safely administer medications.
