JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY The Laboratory Technician will perform research related to cancer biology and developmental therapeutics. The laboratory research focuses on understanding the role of genomic and proteomic ongocenic drivers of gastroesophageal and other gastrointestinal cancers. Preclinical cell line and patient xenograft modeling in vitro and vivo respectively. The position requires the ability to perform tasks independently and with minimal supervision. Collaborations with other laboratories and investigators within the Section and Department are routine.
60% -- Performing laboratory techniques such as RNA and DNA extractions, real time PCR, genotyping, immunoblotting, siRNA, point mutation, cell culture, flow cytometry and other in vitro/vivo cell based assays.
30% -- Collate and analyze data. Maintain accurate, up-to-date and well-documented records of procedures performed and data generated. Summarize results and assist in interpreting findings including analysis of DNA sequencing.
10% -- Collect and process clinical samples
