Under direction of Information Services leadership, incumbent will coordinate administrative analysis tasks relating to the deployment and support of enterprise electronic systems. Incumbent will organize and coordinate short and long-term IT project review, prioritization, status and completion projections for all approved application projects by developing, recommending and implementing project management and prioritization procedures and processes.

Collects information from a wide variety of internal and external sources; track, analyze, and summarize information into meaningful reports and dashboards, evaluate progress and recommend risks and alternatives to meet target dates and objectives. Provides high-level professional project analysis, coordination, and support to senior managers requiring tact, diplomacy and discretion on a wide variety of complex and sensitive issues.

Acts as a key liaison between entities within and outside UCSD. Creates and maintains an effective communication plan related to all aspects of the project prioritization process to keep the enterprise informed about project status and implementation timing. Performs other related administrative analysis tasks as required.



Four (4) years of experience in support and coordination of the project management process, including experience in project planning, tracking, monitoring, and reporting analysis related to the execution of small, medium, and large projects.

Graduation from college with a major in a related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated advanced knowledge and understanding of project management concepts, practices, standards, processes and reporting.

Strong skills in planning, tracking, and controlling project processes for multiple overlapping projects, including documentation of project progress, identification of risks, and reporting of status in a highly professional and effective manner.

Ability to work and manage multiple work streams calmly and objectively in situations under pressure while meeting internal deadlines.

Excellent written, oral, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.

Intermediate to advanced skills with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Microsoft SharePoint and Visio.



Four (4)+ years experience as an IT project analyst or manager, working with multiple projects of all sizes within a healthcare organization.

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or a Degree in Project Management.

Proven highly advanced communication, organization, and project management skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Good working knowledge of MS Project Server in planning and tracking project schedules.

Demonstrated ability to integrate critical information across disciplines.



Must be able to work occasional overtime when necessary.

Must have valid CA driver s license and be willing to travel intra-city when necessary.
