Superior Group is hiring a Maintenance Manager for our client in Melrose Park, IL. Responsibilities include proper operation of all systems and equipment as well as administrative activities related to personnel reporting to incumbent. Must be able to manage the expense and overtime budgets.


Assure that all systems and equipment in the facilityare in top operational condition.
Review and modify the existing preventative maintenance program to fit the ever increasing need for continuous operation of systems/equipment.
Assure proper troubleshooting of systems/equipment to minimize down-time and eliminate re-occuring of problems.
Provide leadership for people reporting to him/her and inform management of the current, as well as future, needs of the facility.
Close working relations with Engineering staff and other supervisors and managers to implement projects.
Must have a good understanding of project management.
Must have a good understanding of budget management.
Create and implement comprehensive training programs for staff to assure cross-training for his/her staff.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work various shifts as needed
Executes the Pest Contral Czar duties and responsibilities on his/her behalf as needed.

Required Skills/Qualifications

B.S. Degree in Engineering, or equivalent working experience.
Minimum of 5 years Maintenance Supervisory/Management experience.
Must have a good understanding of utilities systems, pumps, piping, boilers and water treatment.
Must have experience with high speed filling/packing equipment (liquid).
Must have a good understanding of electrical installation, power distribution and wiring.
Must have a good understanding of electronics, relays, controllers and programmable controllers.
Must have a good understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Must have proven record of successful troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

Preferable, must have a good understanding of cGMP.
