You will lead a team of highly skilled Acoustics Application Engineers supporting tier 1 customers globally. You will have a significant impact on product direction by working with multi-functional teams to define future products and implement acoustic products in customer systems at leading consumer electronics providers.


* Lead a team of highly skilled Acoustic Applications Engineers

* Work with Marketing and Design staff to create a shared vision and future product roadmaps

* Demonstrate leadership and ownership in guiding the team to improve methodologies

* Define/review technical collateral to support new product development and customer engagements

* Review customer acoustic designs and provide feedback to resolve issues and improve performance

* Coordinate with program managers to prioritize tasks, develop schedules, manage dependencies and deliverables

* Support tier 1 customer communication and support for product development, acoustic design and tuning, and production issues

* Identify requirements for and oversee the development and presentation of training materials for field technical staff and customers

Required Skills and Qualifications

* MS in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics or similar with 8+ years of relevant experience in signal processing, acoustic design and tuning for mobile or consumer audio products

* 3+ years of experience leading an engineering team in the development or test of audio or acoustic products

* Proficient in acoustic design of portable audio products

* Knowledgeable in advanced digital filter design and digital audio signal processing techniques

* Knowledge of adaptive signal processing concepts and acoustic fundamentals

* Meticulous attention to detail with a strong drive for results

* Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

* Knowledge of modelling acoustic properties of portable audio products

* Experience with acoustic test hardware such as B&K HATS, KEMAR, Anechoic Chamber, Audio Precision, etc.

* Experience with acoustic test software such as MATLAB, SoundCheck, Adobe Audition, etc.

* Knowledge of adaptive signal processing concepts and acoustic fundamentals

* Active noise canceling headphone product development experience

* Prior experience with complex DSP audio applications such as noise suppression, echo cancellation, or adaptive beamforming

* Prior experience in an audio applications or systems role supporting audio integrated circuits
