Manages daily activities for the operations of the Center for Addressing Cancer Disparities ('the Center') among Latinos. 1. Works with Center Director to develop and implement strategies meant to assist the Center in meeting critical goals related to productivity, funding, and scholarly excellence. 2. Administers recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for execution of these strategies and the general operations of the Center. 3. Works with Center Director to allocate resources based on strategic priorities and funding levels. 4. Identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies. 5. Evaluates and recommends changes to policies or procedures. 6. Leads and directs the work of Center employees. 7. Oversees personnel decisions. 8. Oversees departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change. Working Conditions: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Requires at least a Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of experience or comparable advanced training. 2. Content expertise relevant to Center projects and objectives. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices relevant for the Center. 4. Ability to foster teamwork. 5. Decision-making skills. 6. Management skills. 7. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 8. Problem/situation analysis skills. 9. Budget management skills. 10. Conceptual thinking skills. 11. Fluent in English and Spanish. 12. Project-related technical competencies (e.g., Conduct research counseling via SMS in English and Spanish, administrate SMS platforms, coordinate development of electronic applications in English and Spanish, manage Nicotine Replacement Therapy, coordinate success of recruitment within the Latino community, develop research protocols, conduct analyses, oversee administrative procedures to meet project objectives).
