JOB DESCRIPTIONThis role is responsible for supply, demand, and inventory planning, while leading the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Position is the central point of contact for BU and operations leadership. This is a position with high visibility within business units. Individual must have strong communication skills as well as strong supply chain knowledge.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage team of professionals responsible for supply planning and demand planning of product by category/business, balancing service level and inventory objectives.
Facilitate/own monthly S&OP process, including meetings related to product forecasts and financial projections, inventory plans, E&O reviews, and new product/promotional planning.
Serve as point person for respective business unit(s) related to financial revenue projections, product availability/fill rates, production capacity and inventory planning.
Manage complex and continuously changing new product and product lifecycle schedules.
Influence interdepartmental teams to implement pest practices and improve processes.
Ensure management of backorders and identify/mitigate potential causes of supply interruption.
Predicts and monitors inventory turns and days of supply for individual business units and profit centers.
Follows up with Sales and Marketing to correct course as deviations to plans arise.
Works with Finance and Channel Marketing on E&O inventory process and mitigation strategies.
Manages to metrics related to forecast accuracy, inventory, and service level.
Publish weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics and reporting package.
Performs administrative activities necessary for the effective management of direct reports.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business or related technical field.
Minimum of 10 years of business experience and minimum of 7 years of direct Supply Chain experience.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
CPIM certification is preferred.
Experience with strategic planning, demand planning, capacity planning, master scheduling, and inventory control in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Must have oral and written communications skills for presentations to all levels of customer and management.
