Commerce Bank is looking for an eager and energetic Lead Generation Analyst (or Sales Development Specialist) in Kansas City. This position is looking for a team member who is able to share Commerce Bank's story with prospective clients through a blended roll of data analysis and marketing communication. This is a position for someone who loves numbers and people, exhibits outstanding judgment and professionalism, and thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with a close-knit team. The role requires the confidence to mine marketing data for trends and develop strategic approaches to tell prospects about what we do in a credible and compelling way.

As a Sales Development Specialist, you will:

- Research industry regulations, web-sites, associations, market reports, trade publications, whitepapers, directories, bloggers, portals, linked-in groups, vendors and suppliers in order to establish and vet leads

- Gain competitive and market intelligence on related industry events

- Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends

- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest through marketing channels

- Use Data analysis tools and Excel to map trends and segmentations

- Maintain lead records, using

- Work to support a given territory/region with the primary goal being to grow sales in new accounts and markets and increase customer touches. Accounts and markets will be defined by leadership

- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales teams for further development and appointments

- Manage opportunities that will allow the outside sales team to make his/her sales plan

Research, Support, and Preparation-based Commercial Activities:

- Strategically identifying potential client contacts

- Generating leads and uncovering high-value opportunities

- Researching and gathering business intelligence about prospective clients

- Working with Sales and Marketing to create external strategic marketing communication to engage prospective clients

- Supporting the sales process by managing administrative elements

Client/Prospect-Facing Commercial Activities:

- Communicating Commerce Bank's business model to potential clients in an impactful way.

- Preparing and sending strategic e-mails to prospective clients, specific to their business and/or legal needs, to generate interest.

- Successfully diagnosing the client's key business needs, where possible, to ensure a high quality of interaction in the first meeting with our sales team.

- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales teams for further development and appointments.

Work Hours:

- Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field

Required Experience:

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong technical aptitude

- Self motivated and proactive

- Attention to detail

- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:

- experience (or other CRM experience)

- Marketing Automation tools (Pardot, Eloqua, Marketo )

- Agile Scrum team experience

- Excel and Access database skills

- Marketing Research Experience
