Opportunity:
POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall Materials Management function across two sites, including Planning, Scheduling, Procurement and Inventory Management/Control and local Distribution in a largely make-to-order environment.

Position Description:
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Operations Planning
Coordinate MN site participation in weekly dialog and information exchange related to balancing the achievement of monthly sales targets, existing customer backlog, supply, and associated resource requirements
Demand Management
Coordinate site interface with Customer Service and customers related to shipment commitments
Achievement of site On-Time Delivery objectives
Production Planning
Multi-month view of sales volume plans and available customer backlog, taking action to fill any gaps
Capacity Planning - Evaluate forecasted sales volume and impact on capacity availability, taking action sufficiently in advance to close any perceived gaps
Production Scheduling
Ensure that schedules for specific assemblies and products are coordinated with available direct labor resources in order to maximize output
Procurement
Oversee purchasing of inventory and MRO materials with the primary objectives of ensuring adequate material supply at minimal cost
Assist in auditing suppliers in coordination with site Quality
Inventory Planning and Management
Establish policies and methods for procurement/production of materials associated with R&D development efforts
Regular review and adjustment of guidelines for procurement of production materials
Physical inventory control and inventory accuracy
Oversee shipping and distribution from local sites.
Performance Metrics
Ensure that an appropriate suite of metrics is in-place to monitor on-time delivery, supplier delivery and quality, schedule achievement, etc.
SAP/Systems Integration
Major participation in migration of non-SAP site onto the existing TFX SAP platform.
Monitoring and ensuring accuracy of ERP system data related to the manufacturing site, including Bills of Material, Routings, and numerous other data objects.

Requirements:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor s Degree in Business or Engineering
Master s degree preferred but not required
APICS certification required
5 years experience in medical device manufacturing
5 years experience in a GMP/ISO environment planning and controlling manufacturing materials
Knowledge of ISO, GMP, MRP and lot control is required

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Experience and comfort in delivering solid operating results, while executing in a remote management and team based environment
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skillsets and abilities are required
Ability to work with a cross-functional team and able to successfully interact with all levels of the organization
Solid computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook
Proficient in SAP preferred

TRAVEL REQUIRED: 20 %
