To help us meet our ambitions and provide the best solutions to patients, UCB is currently seeking a talented individual as Neurology Sales Specialist - Movement Disorders based in Los Angeles, CA.
The Neurology Sales Specialist - Movement Disorders will be the point of contact promoting and representing UCB s portfolio within key stakeholders located in the territory. The Neurology Sales Specialist - Movement Disorders will execute provider- and practice-level strategies as pre-specified in the strategic plan. In addition, the Neurology Sales Specialist - Movement Disorders will own the execution of commercial strategic initiatives for the Neurology Patient Value Unit (nPVU) with affiliated providers, practices and facilities.
The execution of this strategy will drive impact for patients, add value for Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and increase performance of UCB s nPVU brands. This position will own the working relationship with neurologists, other key practice-based providers, nursing groups and Long Term Care (LTC) providers and personnel. The Neurology Sales Specialist - Movement Disorders will work to alleviate barriers to prescribing nPVU medications for appropriate patients and enhance the availability of UCB s nPVU products to patients. Critical accountabilities include the following:
* In partnership with the manager, develop portfolio-wide account plans with clear objectives and targets * Participate in local business and customer planning sessions and reviews with management and other members of the Customer Table (CT) * Partner with manager and other relevant CT members to design account-specific strategies that support local pull-through of commercial strategies * Attain objectives relating to his/her execution of assigned portions of the plan and achievement of objectives * Work cross-functionally with the CT team in order to implement plans aligning to the Neurology Sales Specialist - Movement Disorders role * Develop relationships with key providers and stakeholders within the assigned territory.Specifically, during the course of daily customer interactions, identify administrative customers with important unmet needs who should be prioritized * Accumulate a deep understanding of needs and opportunitieswith IDN-affiliated providers, practices and facilities (LTC) and share information and relevant insights with CT colleagues * Work with CT colleagues to share insights with nPVU leadership team, brand team and other nPVU members that help them optimize strategies and develop solutions that will better serve patients and providers and improve performance * Proactively review performance trends, plan execution and needs and opportunities with CT colleagues
* Bachelor s degree required. Advanced degree preferred. * Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical sales or institutional / large account management experience * Demonstrated excellence in account management, relationship development, internal asset coordination and account penetration * Market expertise in Integrated Delivery Networks and Accountable Care Organizations preferred * Demonstrated strength in business planning development and execution * Demonstrated ability to deliver sales results * Knowledge of contracting and pricing and/or formulary committee process preferred * Strong communication skills both written and verbal: Ability to clearly convey information and ideas in a manner that engages audience and helps them understand and retain message * Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint * Outstanding interpersonal skills and abilityto meet customer needs while acting in the best interest of patients and the organization * Effective presentation skills on a one-to-one and small group (10 -15 people) basis * Impacts and influences others by creating a professional and polished image of self and UCB * Candidate must live within or in close proximity to the assigned geography
