JOB DESCRIPTIONProvides equipment and project expertise for the support of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment including all phases of support from soliciting quotes, issuance of recommendation, design stage development, equipment fabrication, acceptance testing through validation, building integration, troubleshooting and equipment modifications.
Reports to: Reports to the Process or Technical Procurement Manager.
This is a traveling position which requires travel to jobsites anywhere within North America, and possibly overseas. The location of the job assignment will vary based on project needs. The cities listed are just a sample of where the job assignment may be located. -- Procure, install and commission/validate equipment required for pharmaceutical manufacturing plants and oral dosage plants.
Coordinate expediting, receiving and recording of technical documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, to ensure client quality and qualification requirements are met. Manage and update an Access Database as documentation is received and recorded.
Ensure that all necessary components/resources are capable to meet established quality standards and goals. Support client operations to ensure federal regulatory compliance with pharmaceutical cGMP and OSHA regulations, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as meeting scheduling goals as directed by the specifications/client/project.
Interact with various stake holders at various levels of the project teams, whether leading the design through validation stage or reporting to project principals with regard to cost and scheduling requirements.
Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for pharmaceutical equipment.
Lead commissioning and validation activities for pharmaceutical process equipment and utilities.
Control expenditures within limitations of project budget.
Manage procurement close out, including securing warranties, guarantees, and acceptance of work, sub-contract and vendor close, final payment, and records retention.
Maintain EEO compliances.
