Responsibilities:

Next generation sequencing (NGS) has transformed genomics. As high throughput sequencing technologies continue to improve, its impact on the large-scale analysis of antibody repertoires and the discovery of antigen-specific antibodies is likely to be equally disruptive.

As a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in our group you will work closely with the Antibody Discovery / DNA Sequencing teams to explore the application of Next Generation Sequencing technologies in the area of drug discovery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for and expected to: High-throughput sequencing of IgG repertoires as a means of optimizing current antibody discovery platforms.
Conception and enablement of a novel antibody discovery platform using a Next Generation Sequencing approach.
Review the literature, attend meetings and conferences and maintain an updated knowledge in the field. Apply state-of-the-art learnings to current research goals.
Be self-motivated and capable of solving complex problems while at the same time interacting productively with colleagues in a team environment.
Publish study results in peer-reviewed journal or patent filing.

Additional Information This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years.
