Layoff Referral Deadline:
Reporting to the Director of Ambulatory Services with input from the lead physicians; oversees the business and patient care functions of the assigned UCLA FPG Santa Monica Breast Surgery practice. Major duties include recruitment, hiring, and supervision, of medical front and back office staff, coordination of clinical services, all administrative and operational oversight and physical space management.
Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations and procedures to define objectives, identify pattern and formulate conclusions.
Skill in setting priorities that accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.
Ability to assess customer needs and candidate profiles, screen applications and research employment-related issues.
Thorough experience recruiting to source for diverse candidates, including use of the Internet, ability to create strategies for difficult-to-recruit jobs, and screen senior level candidates.
Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with Managers, Faculty, and staff from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds.
Must have experience conducting needs assessments, providing input on candidate selection, and problem solving.
Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems and proposals in both formal and informal situations.
Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Skill in planning, organizing, and facilitating meetings.
Ability to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential issues.
Accounting skills to plan prepare and analyze complete revenue and expenses budgets.
Ability to creatively integrate competing demands of an ambulatory operations setting into a productive working environment.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Working knowledge of University policies and procedures to appropriately manage risk management and personnel.
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in work product. Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
3+ year's supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
