Koniag, Inc. (KI) is one of 12 regional Native corporations established by Congress under the terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) of 1971 to settle the aboriginal land claims of Alaska Native people. Koniag business operations include 19 subsidiary companies aligned to seven sectors including managed technology services to both commercial and government entities. We do amazing work for clients from technology strategy and human-centric design to data center management. Our technology leadership team includes a cloud computing technology principal in our Baltimore MD office.

Arlluk Technology Solutions is looking for a Principal, Cloud Computing Technology to join our team in the Northern VA (Chatilly) area.

The principal role is enterprise-focused, strategic, systemic and requires conceptual thinking with an awareness of technology that includes both the big-picture and detailed views of a client's business problem. As a principal, the ability to forge business and technical relationships with executives and identify the core business problems organizations are trying to solve are essential. The principal will work across KI to connect and articulate specific technology solutions with measurable business value. Just as important is being a visionary and strategist in cloud computing for our clients and to our technical consulting and project / program teams.

Essential Responsibilities

* Embracing our colleagues and our clients.

* Being a trusted advisor to clients, responsible for shaping discussions around business challenges, defining, and then presenting the optimal solution that will bring value to the customer's business.

* Deep vertical knowledge in cloud computing, with the ability to speak to the cloud value proposition for all of KI.

* Leverage services, software, infrastructure, and processes to design solutions to business problems for our clients.

* Be a recognized expert in the field and consistently bring thought leadership to the KI team, our clients, and the market.

* Work primarily with executives and / or other high-level business leaders and provide successful handoff to the appropriate project / program / delivery teams, as needed.

* Provide programmatic and technical oversight from a total customer and solution context.

* Provide strategic consulting and advisory services to clients developing strategy, roadmaps, and codifying additional services that KI should engage in and implement. This could be in the form of assessments and / or workshops to provide thought leadership, and further define and design a solution.

* Quickly and accurately complete scoping documents, business case, ROI, proposals, white paper, SOW's and other technical deliverables to support the business development and marketing processes.

* Leverage technical and business expertise to support business development efforts while taking ownership to close and win new business.

* Build and maintain strong vendor and partner relationships in order to better understand their business, products and positioning within the marketplace.

* Provide the overall vision of the project / program solution and be the link between the needs of the client and the project / program management teams.

* Collaborate with leadership, partners, principal consultants, and project / program team members throughout the entire capture and delivery process.

* Able to work at our client sites regularly and travel up to 25% of the time.

* Build and maintain strong vendor and partner relationships in order to better understand their business, products and positioning within the marketplace.

* Provide the overall vision of the project / program solution and be the link between the needs of the client and the project / program management teams.

* Collaborate with leadership, partners, principal consultants, and project / program team members throughout the entire capture and delivery process.

* Able to work at our client sites regularly and travel up to 25% of the time.

* Build a strong Cloud consulting organization in both a matrix and hierarchical structures as required by the business needs.

* Drive the development of a culture of excellence and continual learning for both matrixed and hierarchical teams.

* Train and develop staff from junior through senior roles.

* Engage with industry groups and associations to build brand and provide leadership opportunities for staff.
