JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Job Description:
PROCESS MANAGER OPERATIONS: This position reports directly to the Area Manager - Operational Excellence. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, reviewing key performance indicators associated with the assigned area, assisting operating groups with process troubleshooting, providing technical guidance on operating and maintenance practices to support productivity, efficiency and quality; implementing projects to improve the competitiveness of the operation; establishing and managing project milestones and resource requirements; utilizing data to assist with business planning and forecasting; and driving culture change to instill focus on fact-based management practices via the use of Lean Six Sigma and other problem solving methodologies.
Candidate must demonstrate the capability to analyze and interpret process data, leverage an understanding of processes and unit operations to test and evaluate potential areas of opportunity and communicate proposed improvement ideas and findings to the organization. This position is also responsible for administering the U. S. Steel Safety program to ensure a safe work environment within the assigned facility.
This position requires a Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering, Minerals Processing Engineering or Extractive Metallurgy, and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in the fields of minerals processing or a similar manufacturing/processing environment.

Lean Six Sigma experience and/or certification is desirable.
