The successful candidate will be able to guide a team responsible for product line growth. This growth includes increasing the profitability of existing products and developing new products for the company. You will clearly communicate product needs from market feedback, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience or contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical skills; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand customer unmet needs, and find innovative solutions which may be applicable in other segments too. In addition to understanding the technical aspect of the products, you will also be responsible for developing the marketing strategy of the controls and human-machine interface products. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications resources to define the go-to-market strategy and develop content for the product lines (brochures, whitepapers, websites, presentations, etc). You will also serve as the internal and external champion for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Bring customer feedback and market feedback to division for product development needs - Provide training to customers, distributors, and other Parker employees on platform products - Present products including demonstrations to customers in assistance with the Territory Manager or ATC Salesperson - Develop marketing collateral as needed (design wins, whitepapers, videos, training docs, FAQ, etc) - Develop training materials for sales teams - Manage competitive market intelligence for product family - Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and confidentiality agreements - Share specialized knowledge with others. - Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities through product rationalization - Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers. - Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute. - Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers - Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint) - Motion and machine control programming experience required - Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service - Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices - Engineering or Technical bachelor s degree preferred - Experience with marketing automation tools and marketing platforms preferred - Experience with system installation and start up preferred - 5+ years factory automation experience - Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. - Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs - Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and in presentations - Must be able to read wiring diagrams and execute as needed
