Performs work required for the assembly of components, devices, and/or the final product depending on the trade
assigned. Ensures quality of product. Certified to work in at least three major production areas. Employees in this class
are expected to become skilled specialists in specified work centers exercising independent judgment in the field and have
a solid understanding of quality expectations. At the request of the Supervisor or Team Leader, Group Leaders will
provide training, evaluate performance and maintain a positive functioning team within the specified work center. Group
Leaders will also assist other team members within a broad range of work centers in a manner that best promotes the
success of the Production Group.
Performs work required for the assembly of components, devices and/or the final product with limited daily
Performs routine work in all production areas with limited supervision
May be called upon or deployed to carry out routine inspections or assemblies of final product.
Proficient or able to grasp and later master specific Inventory transactions and processes to aid in the efficient tracking of materials to a job.
Provides input for enhancing procedures and processes as part of the production leadership team.
Read, understand, and complete production batch records legibly and accurately.
Work with area leads or as an area lead with the goal of carrying out tasks with a high quality level.
Work with supervisors and others on production leadership team to deploy production crew to accomplish daily schedule.
Assist in the development of the production team through hands on training, continuous improvement efforts, and day to day interactions.
Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations that will enhance productivity.
Over-time and weekend work is expected.
While working within a work center, the Group Leader is responsible for assisting Team Leaders by coaching, mentoring,
training personnel and creating a positive and successful team environment. To assist with surge capacity, Group Leaders
may be required to conduct clearance procedures within specified areas as instructed by the Supervisors.
Basic functional knowledge required of Spreadsheet, Word Processing and Document Control software
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to quickly grasp new ideas and techniques
Strong understanding of CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) preferred
