ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES
You ll have the opportunity to be an integral part of our aggressive growth strategy by supporting our quality inspection department. You ll spearhead the inspection process and promote a quality-first culture in the plant. You ll work with other team members very closely to monitor and meet objectives on a day to day basis. You ll mentor key players in the plant with regards to training and development; and you ll identify career opportunities for the stand out performers that you identify.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Precision Technologies, the MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a career-minded Lead Precision Inspector for our Concord, CA location. We offer precision mechanical production capabilities including close-tolerance machining and electromechanical clean room assembly. Our product lines include equipment for the Semiconductor and Scientific Instrumentation markets.
What would really impress us: * Experience in a High Mix/Low Volume (Mixed Model) Contract Manufacturing Shop * 2-year technical degree, preferably in Manufacturing Technology * Great communication and a service-driven attitude * Ability to manage changing priorities * Strong communication skills * Ability to follow directions * 3+ years experience mentoring others
What we need from you: * High school diploma * 3+ years experience performing moderate to complex inspections of precision machined parts * Knowledge of GD&T and interpretation of mechanical prints * Experience in a leadership role * Availability on Swing Shift * Experience with a CMM a plus
