JOB DESCRIPTIONProgram Management Specialist - Athletics & Campus Recreation
Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Program Management Specialist - Athletics and Campus Recreation.
Primary Job Duties: Manage and implement a myriad of activities for the department including post-season tournament bids, awards program for various department accomplishments; coordinate use of turf fields; graduate assistant compliance and banquets for 21 varsity sports. Serve as an administrative assistant to the Director and as a secretary for the entire department. Coordinate and monitor all game contracts and schedules for all athletic contests, transfer releases, official squad lists, inventory and ordering of departmental supplies and equipment, and all NCAA administrative activities and communication.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 2 years of administrative staff work experience or High School diploma/GED and 6 years of administrative staff experience; extensive word processing/keyboarding skills with a minimum of 40 correct words per minute; skill in Excel.
Knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures in the operational needs of the department and overall institutional organization. Excellent organizational skills in use of software and its application and in the organization of a myriad of events and activities. Ability to: establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, public, and staff at all levels clearly and concisely both orally and in writing and in an efficient and professional manner; initiate and execute assignments without instruction; manage and supervise office operation and staff.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in PeopleSoft.
This is a full-time, non-exempt State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $38,204.00, which is approximately $18.32 per hour.
