Full-time Temporary Opportunity

The Project Coordinator will assist in the execution of artwork and the pre-press process for packaging production. This role communicates with clients, design firms, printers, engravers, internal stakeholders and the sales team to ensure proper printability for packaging.

Client Relations

Coordinate and oversee the packaging production process from receipt of client request to completion of project.

Obtain client technical specs and ensure that information received from client and sales team is accurate and that conflicting information between art files, die line, press specifications, email content, etc. are identified and corrected before the start of the production process.

Acts as a liaison during the artwork development and pre-press process between the art department, sales team, production department, and other SGS plants to ensure that accurate information is provided to complete all job orders.

Inspect and approve job proofs prior to forwarding to client for final review and approval.

Communicate artwork issues with the client, internal stakeholders, sales team and printer. Escalate art or production issues with design firms. If production deadlines impacted, contact client, internal stakeholders and the sales team.

Establish professional relationship with clients, design firms, engravers and printers and respond in a timely fashion to job requests and concerns of client, internal stakeholders and sales team.

Provide sales team with status updates of open jobs to ensure customers are kept informed.

Participate in process improvement efforts and various production meetings to foster a positive creative impact on the business.

Project Coordination

Understand the client's process (deliverables, rework)

Enter client orders and project alterations in SGS Job Order System (insure orders are complete and concise when delivered to production)

Ensure receipt of purchase orders and prepare client quotes for each job request

Close out / bill job orders in a timely fashion

Review / understand production schedules and deadlines to ensure production capacity

Troubleshoot and problem solve with all stakeholders

Ensuring all jobs are shipped and delivered

Communicate received and shipped art to internal stakeholders and sales team and perform user functionality in a client's database used for tracking artwork projects.

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

Previous experience in a client-facing customer service/project management role in the graphics, design or print industry.

Knowledge of offset, flexo and/or gravure print processes a plus.

Full comprehension in reading and understanding technical specs and instructions

Ability to work overtime.

Proofreading skills required.

Ability to work independently.

Logical and conceptual thinking skills to correlate job specifications.

Portrays strong problem solving and decision making skills.

Great verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Word & Excel.

Experience using FileMaker, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Reader a plus.
