Cardno is seeking a Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer to work with a multidisciplinary team of accomplished engineers, hydrologists, biologists, geologists, GIS Technicians, and planners. Project work and clients includes water resources aspects of recreation, municipal utilities, public, regulatory and conservancy agencies for management of lands, improvement of recreational facilities, flood control, and protection of natural resources.

The position is targeted to individuals with training in civil engineering, water resources, and/or environmental engineering.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Project Management
Overseeing/Mentoring Jr. Level Staff
Client Coordination and Business Development
Plan Set Development
Construction Specification Development
Cost Estimate Development
Technical Report Development
Cost/Benefit Analysis
Constructability Reviews


10+ years engineering experience
Licensed PE in California or ability to obtain within 1 year
Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling expertise including background working with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS at a minimum
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Must be reliable, responsible and a team player
Must be able to communicate effectively to team and client
Must be organized
Must be willing and physically able to work outside in and around streams, rivers and wetlands
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

Additional knowledge of, and experience in, the following would be beneficial:

GIS Software
Land Surveying
