The Project Manager, reporting into the Product Engineering Department, will help define, plan, initiate, execute, control and close projects. He/she will be responsible for directing and maximizing the efforts of cross-disciplinary project teams to produce specific products or results within the technical, cost, schedule, and quality specifications. -Set up and manage a cross-functional/cross-departmental Project Team to ensure that the assigned Project successfully meets its quality, cost (NRE and DTC) and schedule requirements -Ensure that all applicable project documentation is produced and maintained to produce a valid and auditable paper trail on how the Project developed -Produce Status, Tracking and Flash reports on Projects being run -Manage staff assigned to the Project Team within the context of being the Project Team Leader -Present regular Gate Reviews to management on Projects being managed -Interface with customers and Sales staff on assigned Projects -Some travel required
-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required -PMP designation or a relevant combination of technical training and project management experience -A minimum of eight years' experience in Engineering or manufacturing environment -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent listening skills -Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to perform effectively with people at all levels of a cross-functional development team -Well-developed conflict resolution and negotiation skills -Proficiency in the use of personal computers and automated tools, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project -Experience using SAP, especially the PS module, would be beneficial
