JOB DESCRIPTIONThe GBD Proposal Content Manager provides support in the creation, refinement and management of Business Development content, including technical proposals (RFx), written proposals and case studies. This position reports to the GBD Content Director. Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Results Proposal Response Management * Manage progress and tracking for all RFx and Proposal activities to ensure on-time delivery and follow up for all projects * Participate in RFx/Proposal review meetings with sgsco cross-functional teams to gain awareness of project scope, connect with contributors and assess project status * Provide secondary, centralized project leadership for RFx/Proposal activities, acting as a lead between sgsco cross-functional subject matter experts from throughout the collective resulting in support and backup for the GBD Content Director * Request and collect content from subject matter experts to fulfill proposal obligations with the most relevant and accurate information available * Source content from the GBD Q&A Content Library to fulfill standard RFx/Proposal responses * Input all RFx/Proposal responses into appropriate media platform (Word, Excel, Ariba, etc.) to satisfy client-directed format requirements * Proofread all RFx/Proposal content, and engage other GBD proofreading resources as a secondary quality check to assure response accuracy * Maintain RFx/Proposal status and response activity metrics for accurate reporting purposes Proposal Content Management * Maintain GBD Q&A Content Library by adding new general content, assisting scheduled reviews, proposing categorization, and elevating content issues to GBD Content Director to build the Library and improve proposal content * Maintain the Project Library for comprehensive, historical response references * Update standard written long-form and case study content on a quarterly basis to provide current long-form content for written proposals * Work with presentation team to review and update slideshows to align presentation content with proposals Additional Responsibilities * Support presentation development to provide additional bandwidth and align content Competency Requirements * Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects. * High sense of urgency in providing strong level of service and follow-through * Strong oral and written communication skills * A positive, proactive and flexible attitude in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work across a wide constituency, negotiate timelines, and hold others accountable for their deliverables * Sound judgment to request advice and direction when needed * Experience and understanding of design, artwork, and prepress processes a plus * Strong business aptitude * Must have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel * Preferred working proficiency in Adobe CS products: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign * Must possess ability to quickly learn and navigate web-based bidding platforms (Ariba, Determine, Scout, etc.). Experience a plus. * Must possess ability to quickly learn and navigate content management platforms (Loopio, Box, etc.) Experience a plus. Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements * Minimum 5 years of account management, project management or equivalent experience * Minimum 5 years of experience writing proposals, presentations or other business-related content * Bachelor degree (Writing, communications, business, marketing, design, or graphic communications) or comparable experience Physical Requirements * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
